KILO Kitchen

When latin american and asian spirit meet taking along the way mediterrranean influences, an exquisite gastronomic experience appears for the delight of our taste buds. 

All the way from the vibrant island of Puerto Rico to one of the Asia's top cities, Singapore, and since few years ago, Bali,  KILO kitchen, promises an extraordinary explosion of flavors in every dish in a latin-japanese cuisine scene. 

Kilo Kitchen in Bali is located away behind the main street, Oberoi (Jl. kayu Aya), making it one of Seminyak's best kept secret and offering a quiet respite away from all the hustle and bustle.

The restaurant has unconventional and minimal architecture with floor to ceiling glass windows but still homely vibe.  From the entrance you can appreciate the stylish architecture of the building that I am pretty sure that any architecture or interior designer will love it.

Kilo Bali offers Kilo's signature dishes created with local ingredients .The food is beautifully styled on the plate. Kilo's experience is about sharing. There is a large beautiful marble table in the middle of the restaurant for those who want to experience Kilo Kitchen surrounded by friends and family.

We went for lunch but we loved it so much that we decided to come back for dinner and taste the evening menu with some of their signature cocktails. We met Alejandro, the general manager at Kilo Bali. Spanish foodie from Malaga with a large experience in F&B and a strong curiosity about food. We had the honor to share dinner with him while he explained every dish and the story about Kilo. 

For me, it is one of the best places in Seminyak. The place where is always a good idea to come back.

For Lunch, we had:

  • WASABI TUNA TARTARE. Avocado, sesame seeds, flour chips.
  • SPICY DUCK & POMELO. Nam yam, green mango, hoisin.
  • PRAWN SALAD. Wakame seaweed, papaya, herbs & nuts, sesame. 

For dinner: 

  • WASABI TUNA TARTARE. Avocado, sesame seeds, flour chips.
  • BLACK & WHITE PRAWN RAVIOLIS. Sake butter sauce, rocket, parmesan. 
  • SQUID INK RICE. Crispy baby squid, salmon roe, garlic alioli.
  • BBQ PORK RIBS. Kimchi potato salad, pickled watermelon rind.
