THE SAVAGE KITCHEN
The hotspots in Bali continue to pop up, with new restaurants, bars, clubs and shops opening almost weekly. One of the recently opening hotspot is THE SAVAGE KITCHEN, a wild health driven food concept that evolves around the way we were supposed to eat.
The Savage Kitchen is a grab and go, café, deli, restaurant and bar offering an exciting and healthy menu. It is located in the Plaza Club Canggu, the new haven for the healthy and hip as there are countless yoga and pilates studios around the corner.
This cosy eatery boasts myriad options for foods with special dietary requirement. While the kitchen is not labeled as paleo, gluten free, or vegan, it is certainly friendly to all of the above. With the tagline “a wild food concept” revolves around using regionally sourced and locally grown organic ingredients that Mother Nature provides.
The menu is designed “around the way we are supposed to eat”, says founder Luc Richner. The main concept is more of a DIY menu. Choose your protein, side, salad and sauce for the perfect “savage creation”.
They pride themselves os serving the freshest food, which is delivered daily. We had the honor to meet one of the restaurant owners, Rosalyn: “About 80% of the food we serve is from organic suppliers in Bali that we know and trust” The beef comes directly from Australia and fish from Lombok from sources they trust as well.
They are taking real food to the next level. It’s all about how to nourish your body in a way we are supposed to. The passion is totally apparent in every sense of this place.
The air-conditioned Restaurant, Bar & Grill, known simply as “S A V A G E”, provides a more refined experience with an à la carte menu and a list of classic cocktails.
